SpaceShipOne lands safely

SpaceShipOne made its final approach (the part of the traffic pattern at an airport where an airplane or glider is lined up with the runway for landing) and landed on Runway 30 at the Mojave Spaceport.

As they say... "and the crowd goes wild!"

The first thing everyone wanted from this flight was for the pilot to get back safely. With that accomplished, we then waited to hear if it had made it to space.
